Though the writing of a novel itself is pretty much a solitary endeavor, I’ve had a lot of encouragement and support from my family, my friends, and my writing community while making my dream of completing and publishing A Thousand Times become a reality. The thing is, it’s those at home who support—and suffer for—a writer’s craft the most.
So, to give credit where it’s due, my hubs has been my staunchest supporter and has believed in me since… well, forever. Gasp is my best friend, my person, my rock star. While I’ve sat at my computer and set my story to page, he has cooked, cleaned, shopped, run errands, and done everything but the laundry. And that’s only because I won’t let him touch it. He tells everyone he’s my personal Sherpa as well, and between you and me, he’s not wrong.
I’ve also had additional support from two very important family members: our two pooches. Mia the Pom is my wellness coach. She uses the unrelenting need for cuddles and treats as an excuse to make me take a break from my laptop. Lena the Sheltie is my shadow and my writing buddy. She’s loyally by my side, day or night, and has been with me as I’ve written and revised every word.
A Thousand Times and any subsequent stories are only possible because of my love-muffin and the pooches and so, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
